Ellen Giannikos
Is a contemporary Australian artist
Ellen is an emerging contemporary Australian artist based in Melbourne, specializing in acrylic, linocut, and watercolour paintings. Central to her work is the ethereal character, Yume, who embodies a sense of longing and escapism. Yume and the dreamlike environments around her reflect an idealized world, offering a sanctuary where innocence, nostalgia, and healing converge. In her recent abstract acrylic series, Ellen blends minimalist elements with surrealist aesthetics, creating a visual language that speaks to personal journeys of disconnection and a universal desire for belonging. Her work invites viewers into a space of emotional depth, where introspection and the human experience are explored with sensitivity and nuance.
