Ellen Giannikos

Ellen is an emerging contemporary Australian artist based in Melbourne. She specializes in acrylic, linocut and watercolour paintings. Ellen’s artwork consists of portraits depicting today's youth, capturing their beauty, innocence and emotion through detailed lines, and complemented by contrasting pops of colour. In her most recent acrylic paintings, Ellen has created a series of abstract paintings, showcasing her ethereal character Yume, evoking innocence and nostalgia. Her work blends a minimalist approach with a surrealist aesthetic.

From young, Ellen was always drawn to art and has since pursued her passion for painting by completing short courses to enhance her skills. She has currently completed a Diploma of Visual Arts at, Swinburne University of Technology.
